I could never imagine what life would be in sampaloc without the floods. It's always a good excuse to be absent from work and then get a chance to sleep all day long or watch tv. Well, at least, I could say that an improvement has been made because, if my memory serves me right, floods nowadays only last a day at most (except during high tides)unlike before they would last more than a day or two. Perhaps, for the longest time that I've been observing this recurring natural "wonder" from my window, I could tell if the flood waters are either rising or receding. If the trash you find floating on this are going towards EspaƱa, then the flood water is rising, if they are going towards Dapitan, then it is receding. I don't know how it is if you're living along the streets that are perpendicular to mine. Anyway, keep up the good work and I'll try to visit your blog from time to time. God bless!

RellyRellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08770179749571040417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6618759.post-52532683520543384122007-02-15T08:52:00.000+08:002007-02-15T08:52:00.000+08:00hi girard,it's not all amazing, actually. i'm just...hi girard,

it's not all amazing, actually. i'm just too eager to come home. it's too difficult to be away from home. thus, the writing.

thanks for dropping by!

w.wendellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02250114729281994740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6618759.post-57637794600568101002007-02-15T07:39:00.000+08:002007-02-15T07:39:00.000+08:00wow, amazing blog here. found your link via gibbs'...wow, amazing blog here. found your link via gibbs' "coming out" blog. i'd surely be checking your entries regularly. cheers!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6618759.post-65302216859106883352007-02-12T21:31:00.000+08:002007-02-12T21:31:00.000+08:00btw, noonee doronila's play MANILA TAKEAWAY will h...btw, noonee doronila's play MANILA TAKEAWAY will have a second run at canberra's belconnen theater. i'll see her on thursday.

btw, did you know that she had an asialink fellowship last year? she was a visiting artist of de la salle university and she visited many places back home. she even got to meet your friend mario o'very briefly. small world talaga.wendellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02250114729281994740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6618759.post-18106548566159661232007-02-12T21:28:00.000+08:002007-02-12T21:28:00.000+08:00Alfred! After an absence ofover 20 years, I feel like I never left. My recent visit brought back so much happy memories. One thing though, the traffic in Lacson is worse than ever. And floods in sampaloc...oh, those foating dead rats in Maria Clara St. used to be a nightmare. Take care mate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
